Q
Do I have the right to choose my repair shop even if my insurance company is paying for the repair?
A
Yes!! You have the right to have your car repaired at any shop you choose. Your insurance company is required by law to pay reasonable cost to restore your vehicle to pre-accident condition according to the coverage's you purchased. Your insurance policy will specify the coverage you have. We have adopted repair procedures that will result in the best repair possible, both structurally and cosmetically. For example, removing mouldings before painting, rustproofing new and welded panels, four-wheel alignments with any structural repairs, blending and clearcoating for colour match, etc. -- all of which are covered in most insurance policies. These procedures are not followed by all shops and may be discouraged by some insurance companies; however, it's your car and your decision. We have the latest equipment, certified technicians and the expertise to restore your car to pre-accident condition.

Q
Can Amwell Auto Body arrange for a rental car?
A
Yes!! Precision Auto Body can arrange for a rental car to be ready for you when you drop off your car. You can then leave it with the rental company and they will drop you off at our shop when your vehicle is ready for pick up.

Q
Is the repair of my vehicle guaranteed?
A
Yes! You will receive a written guarantee the day you pick up your car. Precision Auto Body has what we believe to be one of the best guarantees available anywhere and it's backed by a company that's been in business for over 20 years.

Q
Will the new paint match the old paint on my car?
A
Yes!! We uses the finest acrylic urethane paint available. We take pride matching the colour on your car through tinting and blending techniques to ensure a good paint match. This is an additional procedure in the repair to ensure top quality work.

Q
How long will it take to repair my car?
A
The time it will take to repair your vehicle is determined by the severity of the damages. Precision Auto Body will make the repair in as short a time as possible; however, we will not compromise our quality standards for the sake of time. You will remember the quality.

Q
What is a QRP?
A
QRP (Quality Replacement Part) is a term used in the industry to refer to a part manufactured by someone other than the "Original Equipment Manufacturer" (OEM) of the vehicle in question. Precision Auto Body has experienced that QRPs, in many cases, are inferior in quality and fit. Therefore, we do not recommend their use in some applications. We will advise you of the applications we believe are acceptable.

Q
What are LKQ parts?
A
LKQ (Like Kind and Quality) parts, simply put, are used parts. They are auto parts originally manufactured by the builder of your vehicle. The quality and fit will be the same as new parts; they have simply been on another car previously. The use of LKQ parts, when appropriate, can reduce the cost of repairs. We will advise you of the appropriate usage. We inspect used parts for damage and reject any part that won't pass our high quality standards.

Q
What is hazardous waste removal?
A
Being environmentally conscientious is everyone's responsibility. We dispose of the waste generated through the repair of your vehicle in accordance with federal, provincial, and local regulations.

Q
What is an overspray cover?
A
An overspray cover is a protective cover used to prevent paint overspray from coating the surfaces of your vehicle which are not being painted.

Q
How do I know when my car will be ready?
A
When you drop off your car, we will give you an estimation of repair time. It's a good idea to check with us 24 to 48 hours prior to your expected delivery date to get a firm delivery time for the day your car will be ready. If there are any minor changes to the delivery date, we will contact you with these changes.

Q
How can I pay for the repairs?
A
Amwell Auto Body tries to make payment as easy as possible. We accept properly-endorsed insurance checks, money orders, Visa, Mastercard, debit, pre-approved personal checks, and yes, cash.

Q
What if my insurance company is paying for the repairs?
A
Amwell Auto Body is performing these repairs for you, our customer. We provide you and your insurance company with an itemized bill for the repairs. Full payment of your deductible is expected when you receive and are satisfied with your car. We will accept direct payment from your insurance company if a commitment is given to Precision from the insurance company prior to the release of the vehicle.
